Feedback On Presentations

I really like how we were assigned to tackle all of these chapters of the textbook in the way that we have. Sometimes I feel that reading all of the information on your own can be very tedious and somewhat boring. It’s hard to take the subjects that we are covering and make them so that they aren’t incredibly dry to hear about. With that being said, I think that all of the groups that presented on Tuesday did a really good job interpreting the assignment and getting the job done. Hearing the information from my peers that I respect and can connect with is a lot better and a lot more efficient than spending hours on end deciphering  a language saved only for textbooks.

Although the presentations that were given all got the job done, I do believe that there are points that we all can somewhat improve on, myself included. First off, as Robin mentioned, we need to learn and practice the skill of reading and pulling out the information that is truly important. Many of us provided a lot of the unnecessary ”fluff” that was added into the chapter to enhance the writing. Once we all master figuring out what is relevant and what isn’t projects like that should be a breeze. Our class is full of very talented students that know what they are doing when it comes to speaking in front of a group.

For me personally I wish that I would have prepared to speak a little more, I let time get the better of me and didn’t practice or prepare nearly as soon as I should have. In the end though I think that I got out what I needed to say and that my classmates understood where I was coming from! Also Tess and Garret were great to work with, they are both very talented and focused students, thanks guys!
